Maybe it sounds too good to be true, but there’s now a simple,
foolproof way for men to boost their partners’ and their own
pleasure during lovemaking. And it doesn’t rely on aphrodisiacs or
drugs. Instead, it involves doing a set of easy to learn
pelvic-muscle exercises called Kegels (after Arnold Kegel, M.D.,
the gynecologist who developed them over 40 years ago). Women have
been practicing these moves for years to intensify their orgasms
and increase their partners’ stimulation. Now, sex therapists and
researchers have discovered that both partners can benefit sexually
when men do Kegels, too.

Kegel exercises both strengthen and tone the pubococcygeal (PC)
muscle-which runs from front to back in men’s and women’s
pelvises–as well as the surrounding pelvic muscles. The PC muscle
is what helps bring a man or woman to climax, and, along with other
pelvic muscles, it also controls urination.

In his recent book, “The New Male Sexuality (Bantam Books,
1992), psychologist Bernie Zilbergeld, Ph.D., claims that many of
his male patients who practiced pelvic-muscle contractions over
time reported increased sexual sensation and more intense orgasms.
That’s not all. Over the past 20 years, William Hartman, Ph.D., and
Marilyn Fithian, Ph.D., co-directors of the Center for Marital and
Sexual Studies in Long Beach, California, have prescribed Kegel
exercises to more than 1,300 male patients who were troubled by
erection problems. Most of the men who did the exercises as
prescribed reported firmer erections than before.

What’s more, nearly 200 of Dr. Hartman and Dr. Fithian’s male
patients who practiced Kegels learned to delay ejaculation,
enabling them to prolong sex to their own and their partner’s
satisfaction. And most surprising, 10 percent of these men were
eventually able to have multiple orgasms–that is, two or more
climaxes during a single act of intercourse before ejaculating.
(Orgasm and ejaculation don’t always occur simultaneously in men.)

With so many sexual benefits, Kegels are the perfect
“sexercises” for men as well as women to master. Besides helping to
create the physical conditions that enhance lovemaking, the
exercises can spice up sex in another way as well. “Partners can
take turns tightening their pelvic muscles during intercourse,”
explains Dr. Hartman. “Each will feel the other’s muscle contrac-
tions, which adds to the excitement.”

For a man who wants to learn how to perform Kegels, the first
step is locating the PC muscle. Here’s how: Some time when he has
the urge to urinate, he should sit on the toilet with his legs
spread, start to urinate, then try to stop the flow. (The PC muscle
is the one he squeezes to do this.) After restarting the flow, he
can practice stopping and restarting the stream of urine. It may
take several attempts to actually isolate the PC muscle–the
buttocks muscles have a tendency to kick in if the legs aren’t kept
wide.
When a man has familiarized himself with the sensation of
contracting the PC muscle, he’s ready to practice holding the
contractions. He should first try holding a contraction for several
seconds three or four times a day. Over the next few weeks, as he
continues doing Kegels, he can gradually increase the time of the
contraction until he is holding it for 10 to 15 seconds. Next, he
should alternate these Kegel holds with a series of short, quick
contractions. Dr. Hartman recommends that men gradually work up to
a daily routine of 100 quick PC contractions and five holds. (Women
who want to learn how to do Kegels should follow these same steps,
but they only need to do the long holds for five seconds; men,
however, need the 10- to 15-second hold for delaying ejaculation.)

After a few months of diligent practice, a man should be ready
to try using the Kegel hold during intercourse to delay ejacula-
tion. But first he must familiarize himself with the sensation
known as ejaculatory inevitability–the point at which he can no
longer hold back an ejaculation. He will feel an uncontrollable
urge to ejaculate as his prostate gland and seminal vesicles
contract. Once a man has developed an awareness of this sensation,
he can then learn to produce a PC contraction before he reaches
that point of no return. (Another option is for a man to try
practicing this technique on his own while masturbating.)

Most men can do Kegels anywhere, since they’re seldom aroused
by the exercises; women may want to practice Kegels in private
since for them, the increased blood flow to the pelvic region is
more likely to spark arousal. Continued over a lifetime, the
exercises can help men (and women) head off urinary incontinence
later in life. That plus greater arousal, enhanced orgasms and
longer-lasting sex make these some of the simplest, most beneficial
exercises a man or woman can do.

Book Review: “Heraclea : A Legend of Warrior Women” by Bernard Evslin
Copyright 1978 ( out of print , but I can tell you how to
find it … )

Bernard Evslin is an expert on Greek and Roman mythology , and some
of his academic works and fictional novels are still in print.
“Heraclea” is a retelling of the legend of Hercules , with a mighty
heroine in the role of Hercules.

Of both divine and mortal ancestry , the frail yet feisty teenage
girl Palaemona is transformed into the powerful , 9 ft. giantess
Heraclea. During her Herculian labors , she fights enemies both human
and monstrous.

Another Greek myth retold by Evslin is the origin and fate of the
Centaurs – retold in a way that is sure to appeal to fans of amazons!

The illustrator is Lucy Martin Bitzer , who has duplicated the white
on black look of old Grecian pottery. Her line is minimal and fluid ,
and her naturalistic, pre-steroid sense of anatomical porportion is a
refreshing alternative to the “L.H. Art/Eric Stanton” types of
amazon women. ( Variety is the spice of life … )

This is a little charmer of a book , especially for fans of tall,
strong women. There’s no explicit sex , but if you use your
imagination , this book is full of subtley suggestive passages. In
fact , there’s more sensuality and romance in Evslin’s text than there
is in a lot of the x-rated amazon fiction I’ve read. ( Also, I notice
that the x-rated stuff is more impact intensive … ).

How To Find It?

I found my copy in a remainder stack at a local bookstore. Used
bookstores file it in their Mythology section. However – you can read
it for free ! I’ve seen “Heraclea” in my local library – in the Young
Adults section! So, if you think you can borrow it with a straight
face , do it , and enjoy!

Erosian Treatise on the Physical Self

Erosian Theory And Practice may at some points be
abbreviated as ETAP.

As an Erosian is well aware, our theory and practice stems
from the physical act of sex. Sex has been defined on many
levels, detailing its influence in love, family, lust,ect.
However it is in the best interest of the studied Erosian
to separate the levels of his/her sexuality and come to an
understanding on each level. By following the above listed
order of sexual definition, we will look at how Erosian
Theory can apply to all levels of sexuality.

LOVE – Erosian Theory finds its biggest opposition, as
well as it’s biggest supporter in the love relationship.
Unless both parties are involved in the Erosian study,
growth, desire, and demand will differ. However when two
compatible people, who both work and understand Erosian
Theory join together in an EXCLUSIVE EROSIAN RELATIONSHIP
they join together to grow, experience and build on the
Erosian concepts together, exploring to the desired growth
potential. Erosian concepts do allow for non-Erosian
relationships, at which time the Erosian should be aware
that he/she will need to limit the physical experience
growth, and expand mentally, or look to physical self
growth via self gratification.

FAMILY – Although Erosian Theory takes a backseat to the
proper way to raise children, many of it’s ideals can
apply. Personal respect for ones’s thoughts and actions,
dignity in sexual relationships, respect for the thoughts
and actions or others, as well as the non-judgemental
aspect of Erosian Theory makes for strong teaching tools
when working to define a child’s attitudes toward sex.
Once again, it cannot be stated emphatically enough that
Erosian Theory and Practice in no way espouses any sexual
activity amongst children.

LUST – This is the cornerstone of the Erosian Theory.
Although we have grown to respond to lust as a negative
term, usually defined as base sexual instinct, this is
merely another program set by narrow minded individuals
who cannot understand the natural goodness inherant in

One Sunday, driving Dolores’ truck back from a provisioning
trip, Pete stopped along the riverbank to watch a crew of panting
scullers labor their way against the current. Their slender craft
slipped around chunks of floating ice smoothly as a ballbearing
sliding down a greased track. Got all the time they need to do
that, he thought bitterly. Men who could go home to adoring wives
and get up the next morning to go to work.
In Lombard’s General Store he met old John buying feed for his
three geldings. The man’s belly nearly split his overalls as he
carried the sacks out to his car. Pete hid a chuckle.
“You come back for coffee now,” John bellowed.
Pete could see no reason to refuse him. He followed John’s
rusty truck up a series of gravel paths, shook hands with his
pretty wife. John eased himself into a great armchair. He bade
her serve them their coffee and an endless succession of snacks:
toast, honey, ham sandwiches, spiced drumsticks, maple candies,
pear cobbler…
When she was done serving she settled back on a kitchen stool
and nursed her baby. Pete watched her play with the suckling,
bouncing him gently on her knee. He knew, feeling the certainty
only the superstitious know, that it could not be John’s child.
John had been a carpenter for twenty years. One morning he
found the work too exerting and gave it up violently, pitching his
toolbox through the window of the house he was building. He tried
a variety of jobs after that, settling on delivering the Weekly
Argus. He sat long hours alone at the head of his kitchen table,
playing solitaire late into the night, gaining ten pounds a year.
He always left a half-finished puzzle set up in the living room.
Pete remembered the last time he’d been out to John’s house.
A selectman was giving Grandpa Goosehair some problems, badmouthing
him in town meeting. The old man wanted Pete to see if John could
dig up any incriminating tax information. John looked over
everyone’s tax forms, considered it his neighborly duty. He got so
he could do the arithmetic so quickly that everyone brought him
their crumpled forms: farmers who could only read with a certain
pair of spectacles they’d lost years and years ago, folks who could
read Latin but couldn’t be bothered with figures.
Pete’d got himself lost on nameless gravel tracks and had
arrived very late. The ex-carpenter’s wife had just finished
showering and now stood before a full-length mirror. Her hips were
swathed in fine linen, her arms left half-bare by a silk-finished
nightgown. She braided her hair and rubbed fine powder and oil
into her tremulous neck. John knelt on the parlor floor, his

looked at the clock: 11:45, five more minutes. He glanced across the
corridor, to an old bum lying in front of a bank of payphones, to the
contents of a trashcan overturned by someone looking for cans to
recycle. He was jostled from his reverie by a soft voice.

“Excuse me, is this the line for Montclair?” Ben turned to behold
a very pretty blonde. He momentarily forgot the question as he stared
at her. “The 33, does it stop here?”

The woman appeared to be in her mid-twenties. She was clad in a
short, loose black skirt with a sleeveless gold top that accented her
hair, which looked freshly washed. Maybe she just came from the gym,
Ben thought. Her attire and hair complemented a deep golden tan. Ben
remembered that it had been some time since he’d been laid and he felt
some familiar twitchings in his pants.

“Oh, sorry,” he finally responded. “Yeah, this is the line.” The
blonde thanked him and pulled out a paperback.

The bus pulled up to the door and the riders boarded. They were
greeted by an announcement that there was an accident in the Lincoln
Tunnel that could delay the trip. If there was one thing Ben hated, it
was getting stuck in the tunnel.

The two passengers ahead of him sat up front. Ben opted for
something in the middle of the bus. The blonde sat in the row in front
of him, across the aisle.

When the bus pulled away from the gate, the driver turned off the
main lights. Ben switched on his overhead lamp and returned to his
crossword puzzle. The blonde switched her light but it didn’t work.
Neither did the one for the seat next to her. “Shit,” she muttered, as
she gathered he bag and moved to the seat directly across from Ben. At
least he would have something to look at.

The blonde crossed her sexy legs, and tugged at her skirt. Ben
kept glancing at her, hoping she wouldn’t catch him. But she was intent
on her book.

1. Honey drips slowly from the edge of the jar. Emma takes the knife and
catches the falling stream, feeding it back into the jar’s mouth. I have
watched her do this, not this exact thing, but this sort of thing, for almost
an hour now. Either the honey falling, or the wind through the screen door
blowing papers onto the floor, or else the newspaper catches when she tries
to fold it back on itself. She fascinates me, in a humiliating sort of way.

2. She gets up now.
From my bedroom window, I can’t quite see her face when she stands up,
and just like on the tabloid shows where they replace the faces with a

I wait, watching for the telltale swelling in her abdomen. Surprisingly,
it never happens. No, her body remains perfect, just like yesterday.

3. “Where’s my Pepsi!?!” she cries to no one in particular, staring into
her refrigerator. “All I wanted was a Pepsi \ldots” Well, I have to
laugh at that. Just what I’d thought about all day. But when I looked in
the cabinet, all I had was syrup of ipecac. Revolting, but hardly sufficient
for the job.

4. She walks over to the sliding glass door, opens it just wide enough to
slip her slim body through, then closes it. I can see her dress now, a sort
of twopiece summer outfit, leaving her midriff bare. God, I want that
midriff. She can have the rest of her body, but I’ll take this perfect,
smooth—
Was that—? No, she just took a deep breath, that’s all.

5. She lies down on the lawn chair, reclining nearly all the way back, with
a Pepsi in her hand (she found one after all). Emma, Emma, Emma. I repeat
her name like Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, whose name I see in front of me as the
answer to a Trivial Pursuit question. I shake my head, annoyed, and the
mantra returns. You may have the alpha and the omega, but in between, there
always lives Emma, sweet Emma, a pretty little Greek figure in the middle of
all that Roman nonsense.
Still wondering? I only took Greek to decipher the sorority house names.
Imagine my disappointment when all the letter combinations appeared random,
rather than producing lurid, lascivious names, such as \ldots But I digress.

6. Emma sucks Pepsi through a straw. Sounds vaguely like some sort of
childhood insult. Your mother rides a vacuum cleaner. Your father has a
nose like a rubber hose. Emma seems mostly unconcerned about this.

7. She puts down the empty can on the cement patio with a hollow clank,
and closes her eyes. They do not like the sun, after all. I scratch my
legs.
I want to fall on her. Fall on her, like a Georgian flower, unfolding,
pressing petal to petal, surrounded only by the echoing sound of soft
waterfilled fibers. In my mind’s eye, the Pepsi takes on ambrosial
proportions, linking me with a divine nature. I see all the things I should
not ever see: every unicorn that ever ran, my hands held by someone on the
street, bells I never heard ring, and besides, the reverent smile of a little
boy and a blue blue sky.

8. I shake off my reverie to find her gone. I let out a hmph. The orchid
has fallen into the pond to meet its reflection with open arms, only to see it
disappear as it sinks slowly beneath the water. Shh! and goodbye.

Sex means more than intercourse; exploring all the different
variations enhances your sex life and keeps it from getting
stale. Masturbating your partner can be very exciting for both
of you. So, read on and learn how to let your fingers do the
walking.

Mutual masturbation can be a thrilling experience, but first, we
need to study the basics of manual technique. Most men feel
women aren’t skilled at handling penises. Their grips are too
limp, lacking conviction and exuberance. They seem afraid to
apply pressure, yet often pull or tug at inappropriate moments,
disrupting the rhythm. They also have a tendency to scratch.
Clearly, we all need to be more knowledgeable about the proper
methods of mutual masturbation. Either you or your partner can
perform the following exercises. But it is written with an
experienced woman in mind.

The first concern is always a matter of size. Is it large or
small? Somewhere in between? No issue has ever received greater
attention than the size of a man’s penis. Man’s obsession with
cock size is probably a mental vestige of his primitive primate
past, but as far as human sexuality is concerned, it’s a waste of
time. A large penis doesn’t have any effect on a woman’s physi-
cal enjoyment unless she has a deep-seated psychological attach-
ment to well-endowed men.

How about its shape? Is it curved like a boomerang or is it
straight like an arrow? Does your fist fit around the spongy
mass of the shaft? Does your hand completely engulf it? This is
good because you can squeeze it all at once. But don’t be an
organ grinder. Be gentle, yet firm. If the penis has an unusual
girth, your hand may not completely encircle it. In such cases,
try both hands to insure you don’t miss any of the tender areas
while stroking.

Explore every square inch of his genital surface area. A man
loves to have his penis worshiped, played with, tickled, fondled,
massaged. Let him know that you are not afraid, ashamed or
disgusted.

Don’t start stroking or jerking quite yet. Just feel the full-
ness of it all. Let your fingers run from the balls to the top
of the cock head, swirl around there, then slide back down the
other half and end back down at the balls. The movements should
be swift and smooth, without bumping or stalling.

A Beginners Guide

However, if we as a race have not learned to nurture the
unknown, we at least should have learned how to leave it
alone and allow those better equipped to deal with it
handle, work with and enjoy its benefits. However, society
at large has done neither, and as a rule ‘witch hunts’
still exist, seeking to route out and destroy what is not
understood. Erosian Theory is seeking not to change the
minds or ways of society as a whole. We instead are
focusing on ourselves. Taking the belief that change is
best from within, we are seeking to come to terms within
ourselves and within our group, focusing upon our

free, sexually understood inner community. I believe that
if a group of people come together and support the concept

community will be formed, where members can receive
feedback on their individual guilt concepts concerning

we strip away the layers of false information concerning

merely assume the rules found in the Code of Conduct, we

Erosian Theory Developed

My theory came into being from a multitude of experiences
and also from inner feelings which differed tremendously
from standard practice ideas concerning sex. I’ll take
this time to break down a few of these myths concerning
sex in general, and in relation to how Erosian Theory

II. Sex should be between one man and one woman only.

Once again, the keyword here is consenting adults.
Personal tastes, and the backward thinking of certain
cultures have forced us into the molds that we live in
today. Between two consenting women, or two consenting
men, any relationship desired is correct. It is their own
PERSONAL TASTES which defines their sexuality, and not
that of a televangelist or county commissioner. As long as
both parties enjoy and consent to an act, and it doesn’t
infringe upon another’s rights, who is to criticize. Also
who is to say that the act of sex should be limited to two
people. Many times there are parties of three, four, five
or more consenting adults who desire to share each others

guidelines are applied?
